If Kashmir is known as "The Paradise on Earth" I feel it is absolutely true.Last year, I along with my parents and sister visited Kashmir.We were wonderstruck on seeing the beautiful valley.It is one of the most beautiful valleys of the world.Some people have called it the"Switzerland of India" also.The valley is surrounded by the Himalayas. The place is very cold and the temperature remains below 0 degree celcius in winters.
Kashmir has a lot to offer tourists.We liked its picturesque spots, enchanting landscapes, green forests, historical monuments, flowers, and its breathtaking scenery.It is also famous for its delicious fruits. It is also an abode of many ascetics because its placid environment is ideal for meditation.There are many temples in Kashmir.
We went on a houseboat in dal lake which presented a beautiful sight. Here, we could see the crystal clear reflections of the surroundings in the waters of the lake.We also visited the historical monuments which have a great significance,like Anantnag. Chashme Shahi, Verinag, The Nishad garden and the famous Shalimar Gardens.
We visited the famous hill stations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonmarg etc. Our visit to Kashmir was wonderful and it is a place of natural beauty. There are visitors from other countries too who come to visit the beautiful valley of Kashmir.
Kashmir is truly a heaven on Earth.
